Sheila is a Pacifica local who grew up loving movement of all kinds. She found Yoga in college and was immediately impressed by the physical demands of the practice, and the warmth she felt from the community. The positive effects of her practice were immediate and after a few years she decided to get certified, to dive deeper in her understanding of what Yoga is and become more confident with a home practice. Since then, she has been trained in restorative yoga, yoga for healing, and trained under Ocean Yoga's very own Robyn Engel. She has practiced yoga all over the world and loves to explore the world through and with the yoga community.
Sheila feels her mat acts as a refuge from everyday life, and is a place to connect physically and emotionally at any given moment. Yoga has been a tool of healing, connecting, strength building, and heart opening in her life. She believes Yoga is a beautiful and fun physical, mental, and spiritual practice where one can learn to be soft and strong at the same time. In addition to offering her students a fun and dynamic flow, she hopes to offer students a space to "come as you are". She loves teaching students of all levels, and believes everyone can benefit from showing up to their mat. She teaches in studios, in corporate offices and to high school student athletes.
In addition to loving yoga, she is an outdoor enthusiast, dog lover, and design admirer. She has a passion for exploring new places, spending time with her family, and being a student of life.
