Pregnancy is a unique time in a woman's life. A monthly prenatal massage can make a world of difference to your well-being.
Studies indicate that massage therapy performed during pregnancy can reduce anxiety, decrease symptoms of depression, relieve muscle aches and joint pains, and improve labor outcomes and newborn health. In addition, studies have shown improvement in hormone balance, reduction in swelling, and improvement in nerve pain through regular prenatal massage. Maya Abdominal Massage is a non-invasive, external massage technique. It guides internal abdominal organs into their proper position for optimum health and well-being. It improves organ function by releasing physical and emotional congestion from the abdomen, and is effective for both men and women. The technique applies anatomy, physiology, herbology, and naprapathy (the study of connective tissues) with Ancient Maya healing techniques to address common complaints. The technique works by relieving congestion and blockages to improve the flow of chi and fluids of the circulatory, lymphatic and nervous systems to alleviate pain and discomfort and prevent the progression of chronic disease.

The AromaTouch Technique incorporates the power of essential oils to create a powerful whole body wellness experience. It seeks to address four systemic constants that are present in daily life and which may serve as limiting factors in health: stress, immunity, the inflammatory response, and autonomic imbalance. These benefits can be enjoyed alone or incorporated with therapeutic massage.
Shiatsu is a deep, invigorating style of massage similar to acupressure. It harmonizes the body’s energy by applying thumb and palm pressure to 14 major energy channels (meridians) whcih promotes self-healing, provides long-lasting stress relief and relaxation, and restores the body’s energy to its natural homeostasis.
A typical Shiatsu session is both relaxing and energizing as the therapist employs pressure while moving about the body in a rhythmic, flowing sequence. All major muscle groups are stretched and all joints in the body are mobilized, restoring energetic harmony and a sense of bodily awareness.
Shiatsu massage differs from other types of therapeutic massage in that it is typically done on a padded mat on the floor with the recipient wearing loose fitting clothing. No oils are applied.
