Secrets of the PSOAS – A 6 weeks series for Deep Healing with Yoga Therapy
Our Psoas is one of our most fascinating muscles in terms of:
stress release abdominal clearing, digestive support and pelvic floor healing reducing anxiety elevating mood and stamina increasing quality of sleep and general wellbeing.
Join Shanti for a deeply restorative, balancing and uplifting exploration of asana, breathing techniques and restorative postures that you can take home and integrate into your daily life.
You will learn in depth of how the psoas muscle works and how it can be released, balanced and strengthened. You will also learn how it relates to the nervous system and how these practices enhance rest, digest and repair on all levels.
This series welcomes beginners and advanced students alike; due to the personal character of this workshop the number of participants is limited to 8 people.
A completed intake form prior to the first class and in person registration at Ocean Yoga will hold your space.

Partner Yoga and Thai Massage

Thai Massage is a sacred form of healing bodywork with its roots in Yoga, Ayurvedic Medicine and Buddhist practices. It combines yogic stretches, gentle twisting, rhythmic massage, breath-work, and loving-kindness meditation to rejuvenate and restore the body, mind and spirit.
We first will practice Partner Yoga while exploring how to support and deepen your partner's experience in a posture. Then you will be guided through a sequence of interactive yoga stretches woven together with rhythmic pressure using your hands, elbows, knees and feet. Each student will work with a partner and each will give and receive a 45 min Thai Massage.
Thai Massage relieves muscular tension, improves circulation, boosts the immune system and balances the body energetically. It creates wholeness of mind, body and spirit in both giver and receiver. You will leave feeling rejuvenated and centered.
Thai Yoga Massage is done fully clothed on a cushioned floor, you may bring an extra blanket for more comfort.
No prior yoga or massage experience necessary. Bring your spouse, partner, a friend and wear comfortable clothes!
