Slow Flow

This class is taught by:

Linda Russell

Linda Russell, on her life-long journey of self-discovery and spiritual exploration, has gained insight, warmth and compassion for the human spirit. Each Hatha Yoga class is designed to assist in integrating mind, body and spirit. Yoga postures not only help us to relax, strengthen and tone, but through breath and awareness, assist in opening major energy centers. Over time, many of us build up and hold blocked energy within, creating tension, stress and disease, which limits us from vibrating at our highest level. Take time for yourself and join classes which are non-competitive, relaxing and life-giving. No previous experience is necessary.

Rebecca Blake

Rebecca Blake’s yoga classes and workshops are uplifting, inspirational, explorative and supportive.
Rebecca has participated in a multitude of intensive studies, including Ballet and other forms of Dance, Tai Chi, Yoga (adult, kids, pre/postnatal), Pilates, Infant Massage, Cranial Sacral Therapy, Reiki, Psychoneurology and Life on Earth. She enjoys and feels blessed to teach in Bay Area corporations, schools, libraries, hotels, senior centers, parks, streets, and anywhere it makes sense …or doesn’t.

Rebecca has studied Hatha, Iyengar, Vinyasa, Jivamukti, Ashtanga, Anusara, Bhakti, Kundalini, Power, Restorative, Yoga Therapy, Yoga Nidra, Naam Yoga, Pranayama, Meditation, Tibetan Heart Yoga, Five Rings Movement Psychology, AcroYoga, Partner Yoga, Kids Yoga, Baby Yoga and Pre/Postnatal Yoga.

Please check out her various workshops and classes and come join the fun.

Ellyn Bell

Ellyn began practicing yoga in 1992 while recovering from pregnancy and found the practice extremely helpful to her work as a dancer and choreographer at the time. She began a more serious practice in 1998 and studied the forms of Kundalini and Hatha. As power yoga became more prevalent, she began to practice more of a vinyasa flow style in 2001. Ellyn has studied with several amazing teachers over the years, as well as at the Sivananda Ashram in India and on visit to Mysore. Her teacher training (2008-2009) was in the Bhakti Warrior tradition implemented by Stuart Rice.

She is a dancer, a social worker, a mother and a recently published author. She holds a master’s degree in religion with an emphasis in theology. Her practice of yoga continues to strengthen and enliven her life.

She believes that as the Bhagavad Gita teaches, “On this path effort never goes to waste, and there is no failure. Even a little effort toward spiritual awareness will protect you from the greatest fear.” (2:40).

A challenging, yet fairly slow-paced class for beginners as well as those wanting more precision and mindfulness in their practice. Good for those healing injuries and any level wanting to deepen awareness of movement through yoga. Focus is on feeling and enjoying the effects of yoga on our bodies.
