Robyn Engel

Robyn is a yogini, mother, dancer, artist and lover. Living in Pacifica she can see the Pacific Ocean as she brews tea and washes dishes. From this idyllic spot she spends time with her young son playing, painting and cooking and practicing yoga. The foundation of yoga in her life has led her to be more patient, compassionate, joyful and kind.
Her classes empower people to move with intention and attention. Leading fluid vinyasa and infusing the poses with mindful alignment and sequencing, Robyn creates a class well balanced between the practical and the philosophical. Using the time on the mat to wake up and refuel the self, she creates her classes with the experience she gets in her own daily practice of Yoga, meditation, and mindfulness, as well as all the knowledge she has gleaned from her teachers: Harvey Deutch, Rusty Wells, Elise Lorimer, Janet Stone, Darren Main, Stephanie Snyder, Elena Brower and Jane Austin.
Robyn has been a student of yoga since 1997. Steeped in 12 years of practice before the need to pass it along became strong and she participated in her first teacher training. Her hunger to know more and to serve her students keeps her forever a student. She has studied in depth vinyasa, bhakti, prenatal/postnatal, and therapeutic yoga.
 

Chelseah Healey

Chelseah went to her first yoga class with the expectation that it would a gentle class of light stretching, however, by the end of that class she was sweaty, out of breath, and surprised at how challenging she’d found the class to be. Yet despite the challenge, she lay in Savasana feeling nourished and connected to her breath and body in a way she’d never felt before. It took several years to develop a regular practice, and during that time she realized how much more to yoga there was than just asana. It was the many benefits that extend far beyond the physical, that inspired and ignited her true love of yoga. The desire to share that gratitude and love is what inspired her to become a teacher.
In Chelseah’s classes you can expect a Vinyasa flow that is challenging, yet accessible for all. Students will learn to link breath and movement as a form of meditation.
She is deeply grateful to her amazing teachers: Anna Hughes, Christie Marshall, Tom Lee, Kathleen Holm, Stephanie Snyder, Kate Holcombe and Wah! Chelseah hopes to share their sacred insight with all.

Alex Hanway

Alex stumbled upon yoga over 10 years ago and found that it started to change his life positively in subtle ways. All of these years later, teaching and practicing helps him find calm, connection and compassion in even the most chaotic places. He believes that if you can smile in navasana, you can smile anywhere!

Though his classes can be challenging, students of all levels are welcome and will find a friendly and supportive space to discover and test the edge of their comfort zones. They will be invited to use their breathing and calm their mind, listen to their intuition, and discover how powerful and beautiful they already are. Alex’s classes are physical, fun, uplifting, and always lighthearted.

Jeff Imperato

As a lifelong athletic overachiever in running, mountain biking, adventure racing, and team sports, I found myself with a host of soft tissue injuries in my mid-20s. Seeking to avoid chronic pain, I came to yoga as a fully-fledged skeptic. After a few classes of trying to “win” each asana, I slowly realized that not only was yoga healing my injuries, it was also teaching me patience and a new way of approaching sports and life.

Since then, I’ve studied with numerous wonderful teachers in a variety of yogic disciplines, and I enjoy sharing their wisdom with my students. My classes incorporate elements of Iyengar, Ashtanga, and Qigong into a flowing vinyasa practice that provides options to engage everyone from the new yogi to the advanced practitioner. I’ve taught yoga on both coasts and recently returned to California after ten great years in New England.

As a massage therapist, I also use a multidisciplinary style with a focus full-body function. I’m trained in Swedish, sports massage, deep tissue, neuromuscular, and trigger point release. My massages incorporate the elements and styles that suit the client’s specific needs and requests.

I’m thrilled to join the great people at Ocean Yoga and look forward to joining the Pacifica community on this shared journey to optimum health!

Renee Sera


Renee has been practicing yoga with mentors in a variety of traditions since 2004. It was the balance, beauty, and stillness that she wanted to share with others that led her to become an instructor, receiving her 200 hour RYT credential in 2010. She then purchased the studio where she received her training, Pretzel’s Yoga School, and opened Yoga Fountain, which remained in operation until 2014. Since then she has continued as an instructor, drawing inspiration from her students, her teachers and the Eight Limbs of Yoga.

Chandra Lovejoy

Chandra aims to create a safe space for students to make a connection with Self. Classes are rooted in meditation and breath control. Postures are taught with an emphasis on safe alignment via clear and balanced joint space through consciously organized pathways of weight. Students are encouraged to root their practice in breath to create steadiness and ease in every pose, rather than "win" the pose. Chandra teaches without judgments and students are supported to explore their personal edge mindfully through a practice of presence and Self-inquiry to promote transformation. Lindsey Kraten

Lindsey's classes are beautiful and grounded. She incorporates a unique blend of breath awareness into each movement of the body while using sound healing techniques, such as mantra and singing crystal bowls. Her flow is designed to awaken an intentional sense of presence to the physical, mental and emotional bodies. She encourages a focus on body acceptance, which creates room for a positive space and deeper healing. She also strives to encourage and guide others to find and connect with their own inner light; the light she believes connects us all in our truest essence.
An invigorating flowing vinyasa style class that will tone your body and calm your mind.
This class is taught in a heated room, and is geared toward students who are comfortable with their yoga practice.
